Hannah Montana - Miley Cyrus
Thanks a lot to Gina for sending me some photos from the Santa Monica, CA screening of the Hannah Montana 3D film!
Here are a few of the fans at the screening, in the cinema!
I also received a review from Tom who went to the Washington screening of the film and was kind enough to tell me what he thought of it:
The film was excellent! The fact that it’s in 3D makes the Hannah Montana, Miley Cyrus and the Jonas Brothers songs and appearances much more worthwhile than simply listening to them on your iPod. Not all concert scenes are in 3D however, the others that aren’t appear in 2D and it’s still a great time!
I sang and danced out loudly in the sold out theater and was joined by others clapping along too! I’m only 15 and a huge fan of Hannah Montana; for some reason, I had the feeling I was the only boy in the whole cinema lol. Most of the tickets were indeed bought by 5-14 year old girls and their parents, but there was the ocasional guy, here and there!
I would strongly suggest taking your kids to this concert and even if you’re not a Miley Cyrus, Hannah Montana or even Jonas Brothers fan, it’s still a worthwhile experience!

After an exhausting search and a 3 hour drive to the nearest theater showing the film. I was much disappointed. I believe that less than half of the film was actually in 3D. The quality of the parts that were in 3D were also disappointing. After seeing a few films in 3D, I would have to rate this one the worst. It was also disappointing to have most of the film in a behind the scenes, documentary setting style. When other movies do this it’s included in a 2 disc set where as the 2nd disc almost never hits the dvd player. I certainly would purposely pay and go see it. My daughter seemed to be waiting for the 3D part. Good parts of the movie in 3D existed but they were rare. The sound was way too loud, my daughter held her hands over her ears during the concert parts, this could be a theater issue. My daughter did sing along and raised her hands near the end and the movie. It did keep her occupied so I didn’t count it as a total loss. For the price paid it would be hard to recommend.
